About the Event
A poetry extravaganza is happening at the first annual South By South Bay festival on February 8th, 2025 at Studio Hermosa in the Hermosa Beach Arts District. The event will take place from 11am until 3pm at Studio Hermosa – 636 Cypress, Hermosa Beach, CA 90524. Punk icon, X’s Exene Cervenka will be reading her own poetry, and has curated a lineup of poets, including luminaries like Mike Watt (The Minutemen), Jim Lindberg (Pennywise), Jack Brewer (Saccharine Trust), Annette Zilinskas (The Bangles), S.A. Griffin and Iris Berry, and many others that will each share some of their own personal work. Local poets are invited to bring their own poetry and sign up to share their piece during the opening hour. A special thanks to Duex Punx wines for sponsoring this intimate gathering.
