Gene Loves Jezebel:

When In Rome II: The original When In Rome was formed in Manchester, England in 1985 and secured a recording deal with Virgin Records. The band had a #1 billboard hit in the late 80’s with the song “The Promise”. The original members of the band parted ways after the release of their first album “When In Rome”, due to musical differences.
In 2004, “The Promise” was featured in the award winning film, Napoleon Dynamite which re-introduced the song to a new generation of music lovers.
Founding member and writer, Michael Floreale (piano, synths, programming) was approached by a major force in the music biz to reform When In Rome in 2006, and he recruited a new, lead vocalist, Johnny Ceravolo.
In 2018, When In Rome recorded a new album “When In Rome II”, with producer Warren Huart (The Fray, James Blunt, and most recently Aerosmith).

The band have continued to perform live and completed a successful, major tour  in 2020, with The Motels and Bow Wow Wow, featuring current singer, Tony Fennell. Originally from Birmingham in the UK, Tony was the voice of Ultravox, replacing singer Midge Ure. Tony went on to write and record a new Ultravox album and toured worldwide with the band. He was also a member of Lux and spent many years touring with EnuffZnuff.
