About the Artist
Born and raised in Carson, California to Hawaiian parents and into a musical family, Bo Napoleon has been a committed musician since the age of 9 when his dad, Kevin “Nappy” Napoleon, first handed him a Ukulele. At age 11, he started mastering the guitar and composing original material which continued throughout his teenage years.
Bo was awarded an athletic scholarship to the Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP). He accepted and attended IUP for two years but made a conscious decision to pursue music full time and dedicate himself to writing and performing. Following in his father’s footsteps as a singer songwriter in the Reggae Island genre, Bo’s success as a writer came quickly when he wrote two hit singles for the Common Kings, “Wade In The Water” and “Alcoholic”. A frequent collaborator with the group, another single penned by Bo called “Take Her” appeared on Common Kings’ Grammy nominated album “Lost In Paradise”.
