Thanks for listening!! Josh Braff – Guitar/Vocals Brett Hightower – Guitar Jared Janzen – Drums/VocalsAbout the opening act:A veteran of the Austin Music scene, Jon grew up in New York and became a brown belt in Jiu Jitsu just to make it home from school safely on the tough streets of Harlem. The deep soul of BB King’s “Live at the Regal” and the ferocious intensity of Eric Clapton’s guitar work were life changing for Jon. Playing guitar became Jon’s reason for living. The talent and passion of teenage Jon were quickly recognized by jazz greats such as Emily Remler and Hiram Bullock, both of whom took him on as a private student. Remler even referred to Jon as her protégé. His talent earned him a full scholarship to the Berklee College of Music.   “John Scofield and Mike Stern (both of whom played with MIles Davis) were both as big a part of my path as Emily and Hiram.  They would hand me off in some cases from one to the other when they toured,” recalls Geiger.  “I studied at their knee in their homes and no one cheered louder when I got my scholarships,” Geiger says.  After completing his studies in Boston, Jon promptly moved to Austin and began working alongside the Austin greats and playing Antones and the Texas blues haunts. The English Beat

THE ENGLISH BEAT142 Pacific Coast Hwy,Hermosa Beach, CA 9025421+ Only One tempestuous weekend in March 1979 was not only the date of the Three Mile Island nuclear incident, but also, in Birmingham, England, the very first show by a nascent band known as The Beat. Introduced as “the hottest thing since the Pennsylvania meltdown”, the band had a sense that the next few years could well be explosive! The Beat hailed from working class, industrial Birmingham, England. When The Beat rushed on to the music scene in 1979, it was a time of social, political and musical upheaval. Into this storm came The Beat, trying to calm the waters with their simple message of love and unity set to a great dance beat. The Beat were all about inclusion, and this showed in their personnel and their music influences. The band crossed over fluidly between soul, reggae, pop and punk, and from these they created an infectious dance rhythm. They became an overnight sensation and one of the most popular and influential bands of the British Two Tone Ska movement. Consummate showman that he is, Dave Wakeling has continued to keep The Beat alive and strong. Dave continues to tour the world as The English Beat with an amazing all-star ska backing band playing all the hits of The Beat, General Public, and his new songs. Joker’s Hand Single Release

Joker’s Handw/ Carry the Day, Dusk, Evelyn Grove142 Pacific Coast Hwy,Hermosa Beach, CA 9025421+ Only About the Artist Formed in 2017 by Kevin Kawano and Matt Lau, Joker’s Hand has catapulted themselves above the noise floor of the Los Angeles music scene with their explosive live performances. Kawano and Lau, both first generation Asian Americans, seamlessly fuse together punk, alternative and hip hop to create a fresh sound that reaches across the generational divide. Joker’s Hand released their self-titled EP in March, 2020. Their first single “Gold Rush” landed them #1 on KROQ’s Locals Only for nine weeks. While the pandemic put a wrinkle in the bands touring plans, they went back into the studio with producer Steve Ornest and turned out their second EP “All-American Rage”. “War Profiteer”, an upbeat track with a dark message about those who profit from war, spent several weeks on the charts. As the world reopened its stages, Joker’s Hand toured nationally and shared the stage with artists such as Cage the Elephant, Jane’s Addiction, The Aquadolls, Sitting on Stacey, Jakob Nowell, and many others. Their showcase performance at SXSW in 2022 was a turning point, as the band was signed to Wiretap Records by Rob Castellon.   For any additional questions, please check out our FAQ page here: https://www.saintrocke.com/faqs/If your questions are not answered there, please reach out to us at info@saintrocke.com

Doyle Rules

DOYLE RULESRADIOACTIVE CHICKENHEAD142 Pacific Coast Hwy,Hermosa Beach, CA 9025421+ Only On Friday the 13th in October of 1307, King Philip IV of France ordered the arrest of the Knights Templar and had them tortured and killed; and in July of 2013, two musicians named Ryan Vuckovich (singer) and Nicholas Hrboka (guitarist) contemplated how they would kill and torture audiences with the best Misfits tribute ever assembled. Their first plan of attack was to be one of the few tributes that would not only play Glen Danzig era Misfits, but would also play a heavy assortment of Michael Graves Misfits—an amazing and sadly underappreciated period in the bands history. Next, a name needed to be chosen; one that would properly represent the sonic assault. Boka, a fan of Adam Sandler films, shouted out loud the band’s war-cry: “Doyle Rules”—a play off of “O’Doyle Rules” from Billy Madison. The name was perfect. When any punk fan heard the scream Doyle Rules they knew that they would be experiencing a tribute that would play songs from an era that included Danzig and Graves songs— the Doyle Wolfgang Von Frankenstein era of the Misfits.
