Stalag 13 w/ One Square Mile, Spider, Hamapple

Stalag 13w/ One Square Mile, Spider, and HamappleGenre: Punk142 Pacific Coast Hwy,Hermosa Beach, CA 9025421+ OnlyAbout the artist:Stalag 13 were one of the few bands from the early 80’s Nardcore scene in California who didn’t record for Doug Moody on Mystic Records. They recorded for George Newbury’s label. Their 2nd album, as simply Stalag, sucked, and was recorded on Edge Records, which no longer exists, thanks to Joey Liebke being a complete ass. For In Control, a special vinyl reissue was issued 20 years after the original release, on Dr. Strange Records. Original singer Ron Baird, was also in Dr. Know for a minute. He now lives in Australia. Dave Cassillas, guitarist, was also in Dr. Know, NOFX, and many other bands. Guitarist Blake Cruz is the younger brother of Brandon Cruz, singer of Dr. Know. Larry White, the drummer, was a member of every Nardcore band you could think of, at one time or another. This band was heavily influenced by Minor Threat and the D.C. straight edge movement, but they took the sound and not the straight edge lifestyle. For any additional questions, please check out our FAQ page here: https://saintrocke.com/faqs/If your questions are not answered there, please reach out to us at info@saintrocke.com

The Skatalites 60th Anniversary ‘Diamond Jubilee’ Tourw/ Special guests142 Pacific Coast Hwy,Hermosa Beach, CA 9025421+ OnlyAbout the ArtistMore than a band, the Skatalites are an institution, an aggregation of top-notch musicians whodidn’t merely define the sound of Jamaica, but WERE the sound of Jamaica across the 50s and60s. Frequently credited as the originators of ska — the musical mash-up of calypso, Caribbeanmento, R&B, and rock & roll that predated both reggae and rocksteady — the Skatalites; variousmembers came up through the nations hotel bar scene of the late 50s, banding together as bothan original group and the often uncredited backing band for artists/producers such as PrinceBuster and Duke Reid. Although the group officially existed in its original incarnation for lessthan 18 months (1964-1965), its members brought their signature styles to hundreds uponhundreds of the islands releases. Following a handful of reunions in the 70s and early 80s, theSkatalites re-formed for good in 1986 and, over subsequent decades, have included a rotatinglineup of both original members and newcomers responsible for late-period highlights like1994 Hi-Bop Ska and 2007 On the Right Track. A version of the band continued to tour andrecord into the 2010s, even as most of its founding members passed on. Known for classic songslike “Guns of Navarone” and “Phoenix City” and their influence can be heard in followinggenerations of musicians from the Clash and the Police to Sublime and No Doubt. For any additional questions, please check out our FAQ page here: https://saintrocke.com/faqs/If your questions are not answered there, please reach out to us at info@saintrocke.com

Mondo Cozmo w/ Windser

Mondo Cozmow/ Windser142 Pacific Coast Hwy,Hermosa Beach, CA 9025421+ OnlyAbout the Artist Mondo Cozmo’s Josh Ostrander understands what happens when the heart cracks in two—and what to do next. That empathic ability drew him intrinsically to the Barbarian poets, a group of writers who gathered in San Francisco’s Cafe Babar in the 1980s. Crammed into a tiny back room, poets like David Lerner would roar out their latest works amidst an equal flurry of riotous applause and smashed pint glasses. When Ostrander first came across Lerner’s poetry, it was the energy, the fervor, and the passion that grabbed him. Reeling from loss in his family, mired in pandemic, and searching for hope, Ostrander connected immediately to the dedication in one of Lerner’s books, knowing he’d found the title of his next album. This Is For the Barbarians (due April 8th via Last Gang Records) recognizes that death and life can be celebrated synchronically, pulling the darkness in to find the light inside, discovering grandeur in life’s most intimate moments. “It’s bright and funny, the human experience in a year of isolation,” Ostrander says. “It’s a slice of my liver and a piece of my heart. This is for the people going through darkness like I’ve been going through. Is anybody else out there hurting, or mad, or scared out of their mind? We’re in this together.”  For any additional questions, please check out our FAQ page here: https://saintrocke.com/faqs/If your questions are not answered there, please reach out to us at info@saintrocke.com
