IRONTOM

IRONTOM142 Pacific Coast Hwy,Hermosa Beach, CA 9025421+ OnlyAbout the Artist It’s hard to know the true origin story of IRONTOM as many different stories have circulated the internet for some time. The band is fronted by Zach Irons and Harry Hayes, who allegedly claim to be fraternal twins separated at birth. Through the help of ancestry.com and 23andMe, they were reunited when they were both 19 years old to form the band in Malibu, California, along with drummer Dylan Williams. Cutting their teeth playing together during a six-month residency gig they had on a small stage at Six Flags Magic Mountain next to Viper, they found their way into a sound that combines arty post-punk and prog influences with psychedelic flourishes and funk-rock grooves. They lean into the eccentric, satirically commenting on the screwed-up society they know they negatively contribute to themselves.   Acknowledging that childhood is the place to look back to for the root of musical influence, Irons grew up in a very creative household headed by former Red Hot Chili Peppers and Pearl Jam drummer Jack Irons. Less inspiringly, Williams’ eighth cousin is George W. Bush.  Weaving each release into the last, IRONTOM has unveiled their new album GEL pt.1. The journey will be unsettling, madcap, and uninhibited fun. But full disclaimer; everything that you learn about the band that feels absurd or sensationalized, may very well be the truth For any additional questions, please check out our FAQ page here: https://saintrocke.com/faqs/If your questions are not answered there, please reach out to us at info@saintrocke.com

Sea Wolf (solo) w/ Nick Shattuck

SEA WOLF (SOLO)w/ Nick Shattuck142 Pacific Coast Hwy,Hermosa Beach, CA 9025421+ Only About the ArtistEverything is alright now. Alex Brown Church — the man behind the dark folk, indie rock band Sea Wolf — wants you to know that from the start. Really. Sea Wolf’s eagerly anticipated fifth LP, Through A Dark Wood, proves it in 11 textured, sometimes-acoustic, sometimes-electronic, unabashedly honest tracks. But beforehand, everything was decidedly not okay. Church wrote and recorded an entire album after 2014’s streaming-only, stripped down album Song Spells No. 1: Cedarsmoke, but decided to scrap it. He realized those songs lacked a through-line and felt conceptually disjointed, something he attributes to a sense of denial of what had been going behind the scenes — dealing with the disintegration of a long-term relationship, reconciling with the death of an estranged parent, and trying to cope with the magnitude of current events, all while maintaining a passionately beloved, yet slow-burning creative career. So Church mustered his courage to go back to the drawing board. Starting from scratch, he spent months in his northeast Los Angeles studio writing, singing, tracking, and producing the new set of Sea Wolf songs that comprise Through A Dark Wood. The result is a catharsis record, not merely a breakup record — one that highlights power in vulnerability and bravery in the face of fear. “I think a recurring theme of all of my albums has been this sense of hope,” Church says, “coming out of a dark place and into a light place.” For any additional questions, please check out our FAQ page here: https://www.saintrocke.com/faqs/If your questions are not answered there, please reach out to us at info@saintrocke.com

The Spazmatics w/ Wayback Daddies

The Spazmaticsw/ Wayback Daddies142 Pacific Coast Hwy,Hermosa Beach, CA 9025421+ OnlyAbout the Artist The Spazmatics were born in the spring of 1983 when physics professor Kevin Stigwood of Alta Dena High in Thousand Oaks California, lost a debate over String Theory to an upstart pupil in front of the entire student body and faculty. As agreed to by both parties, the loser would have to do anything that the winner demanded, and the victorious prodigy demanded that Mr. Stigwood perform “She Blinded Me With Science” by Thomas Dolby during half-time at an upcoming state basketball championship game. Having no musical background and desperate to not go down in total humiliation, Professor Stigwood formed The Spazmatics by tapping the genius of electronics teacher Sydney Balderman (AKA “Syd Sonic”), who had achieved international acclaim in 1981 for his invention of “robot drums.” When Balderman (who was also the girls water polo coach at Alta Dena Middle School) explained that most of the music could be generated by computers, and that all he needed was a couple of decent musicians to complete The Spazmatics, Stigwood was ecstatic. To make The Spazmatics complete, Stigwood brought in his special needs brother Curtis on bass, and teacher’s assistant Rusty A. Woosmeir (AKA “The Raw”) on guitar. When The Spazmatics took center court that evening, members of the hip elite began heckling them with jibes of “geek” and “nerd,” while everyone else howled with laughter. But once they broke into the opening salvo of “Science,” the nonbelievers were stunned by the group’s authenticity of production, world class musicianship, and tight choreography. The Spazmatics performance came to a climax when Stigwood grabbed one of the cheerleaders and began doing the “Belinda” up and down the court with her in tow. When it was all over, the crowd rose in a standing ovation, and The Spazmatics were born.
