But the move wasn’t just geographical; it was a mental and emotional break from a life that had become suffocating. Music has always been Zack’s escape, and it was no different when he arrived in Los Angeles. He dove headfirst into songwriting, channeling all his angst and frustrations into his music. His latest single, “What’s on your Mind?”, is a powerful testament to how far he’s come. But Zack knew that he needed more than music to keep his head above water. He was struggling with mental health issues, and he needed help. So he took the brave step of seeking out therapy and joining a support group. It was a rebellion against the stigma that still surrounds mental health, and it was a decision that changed his life. Through therapy and the support of his group, Zack found a new sense of purpose and direction. He began to see the world in a different light, and his music reflected that. His songs became more honest, more vulnerable, and more authentic. Zack’s rebellion didn’t end there, though. He was determined to break free from the industry’s expectations and carve out his own path. He refused to be put in a box, to be defined by any genre or label. He embraced his punk influences, blending them with his pop-rock sound to create something truly unique. Now, Zack is ready to take his rebellion on the road. He’s embarking on a national tour, where he’ll showcase his new songs and spread the message that mental health is something we can tackle together, as a community. With the addition of friends Greg Hetson and John Stielow on drums, the band’s first gig was opening for Black Flag. At the time of their 1980 debut self-titled EP, the band had changed their original name to Red Cross, which was allegedly inspired by the masturbation scene in the film, The Exorcist. Ron Reyes became the drummer. Eventually, Hetson left to join the Circle Jerks (and later Bad Religion) and Reyes left for Black Flag. Dale Crover is an American rock musician. Crover is best known as the drummer for Melvins and has also been the drummer for Men of Porn, Shrinebuilder, Crystal Fairy and, for a brief time, Nirvana. He is also guitarist and vocalist for Altamont. He has toured with Fantômas (filling in for Dave Lombardo), Off!, and Redd Kross. In 2016, Rolling Stone listed him as the 69th greatest drummer of all time. The style of the band covers many genres such as Blues, Jazz, Ska, Reggae, R&B, Funk, and Pop and has several configurations which can include at its maximum, a 10-piece band including Drums, Bass, Guitar, Keys, 3-Horns, 2-backgrounds and of course our Amy Winehouse. We can always scale it down due to space and production limitations. What you probably don’t know is that Missus Jones isn’t just a carbon copy of Amy’s show, we add a little lightness, spunk, and fun to the show. In the middle of the show, we also let our background singers take over and do a “mini set” of Disco, Funk, and Soul music just to liven things up a bit and this ALWAYS gets EVERYONE out of their seats again and on the dance floor. The band wears full suits with ties and our Amy is always drop-dead beautiful along with her stellar voice and SERIOUS beehive.
