Natalie Aley: I was born in Moscow, Russia, in a very traditional family, that wasn`t involved with music in anyway. If someone had told me then that I would end up in Los Angeles pursing a career of a singer, I would have laughed it off. At that time Los Angeles was as far as the Moon to me. Growing up, I was into a lot of things. In school, I took ballet classes, acted in theater, sang and wrote songs for the musicals. I never thought of going into professional showbiz until the age of 16. When asked what I was going to do with my life, it dawned on me that probably I could make it as a singer. My parents never understood my ambitions but they always supported me. They thought that if you decide to do something, you should do it right. So, I enrolled in a Jazz college, got my music education and fell in love with american music. By that time I had already sung in a few bands and had some performing experience, so I decided that I was ready for the big stage. Later, to my surprise, I was chosen to play a leading role of Scaramouche in the world renowned musical “We will rock you”, produced by Queen. Of course, beside a lot of fun I had playing in the show, rehearsing and touring, this project opened a lot of doors for me in Russian showbiz. But then the reality hit me hard, I had the choice of singing songs and playing music that wasn`t very close to my heart or I could try myself somewhere else. After some consideration, I packed my things and to my parents horror, I moved to Los Angeles without any notion of what I was doing. Three years later I`m collaborating with a wonderful songwriter Ann-Marie Hamilton, who wrote such songs as “Falling in love again”, “Feel it” , many of those became platinum. I released a video “Ladidadidah”, and the agency “Ignition” is promoting it throughout US. Currently I`m rehearsing with my band New Cycle and we are preparing for the shows and the tour.
