HIRIE : Young, talented and ambitious define HIRIE as an individual and as an artist. Stirring up island-inspired vibes with sounds of roots, reggae and pop while also applying her smooth, sweet and naturally pop-sounding voice to blend it all together. HIRIE will undoubtedly be a driving force in new-age music.
Born in the Philippines, raised in Italy and living the biggest and most influential portion of her life in Hawaii, HIRIE considers herself an island girl at heart. The experiences she’s had living on Oahu have taken her on a musical journey worth listening to by all who appreciate her genuine take on love and life.
2013 is the year HIRIE enters the music industry. With sheer determination she aims to deliver music that entertains both reggae and pop lovers alike. Charm, passion for people, positive and uplifting messages, and memorable hooks and melodies are offered for all in her upcoming, self-titled album: HIRIE.
“HIRIE is a lifestyle I want people to love and become accustomed to. The island-way of living is contagious; healing the mind, body and spirit. The same goes for its music. When people hear my songs, I want them to feel disconnected from their troubles. Music that brings you to a positive place: that’s reggae. Music that lifts you to higher space: that’s HIRIE”. -HIRIE
True Press is from Los Angeles, CA pushing to bring their progressive reggae sound to new audiences. The message is simple: bring people together, rise up, unite and enjoy life! Music has a tendency of bringing us together and taking us for a ride, and True Press is exactly that. The group met in Monrovia, CA and soon after began jamming in an abandoned house with no electricity except for the 100 foot extension chord running from the house next door to provide whatever power they could 'borrow'. Pedro, Johnny and KP began jammin around 2006 with Gyl Bonus earning his spot in 2010 shredding lead guitar. Not long after, True Press released their first EP "Sweet Reggae"and have been determined to bring their message wherever they go. With recent additions, Dan Kirihara, Pat Ruiz and Chris Parkhurst the group is ready with a new live energy and sound to rock any venue. Their first national tour "It's All A Jam" supporting Fortunate Youth kicks off early March 2014 along with their first full length album titled "Anything's Possible"... From daily struggles to world news, the message really is simple. It's more of a movement..... a TRUE PRESS !!!
