Fortunate Youth's Third Annual Turkey Jam

Very special guests: True Press, Reeform, and Roots of Mine.

It's the night before Thanksgiving. (Otherwise known as the BIGGEST Night Out.) This is an annual event, and every year we get crazier than the last.

This year is no exception.

We like our reggae ROOTS. We like our Turkeys WILD. Gobble till you wobble.

Get tix while they're fresh. They won't last long.  #jahwillprovide

Fortunate Youth: Fortunate Youth is a collaboration of South Bay reggae stand-outs. Rising from various bands, they've created a phenomenal 7-piece masterpiece bringing more fire to the stage than ever before. Combining rootsy vibes and unique bass lines united with multiple harmonies, boisterous guitar solos, and heavy keys separates Fortunate Youth from every other mainstream reggae band. With their high energy approach and positive stage presence they provide an unforgettable show to every music fan. Fortunate Youth's objective is to ensure a performance that leaves you feeling euphoric and curious of what might happen at the next show. In 2011 they supported Tribal Seeds on their nationwide Tribal Youth Tour to spread their conscious music to the nation. F.Y. linked up The Green, from Hawaii, for a Midwest/Westcoast run before jumping back in the studio to record. They have hit the masses promoting only their 6-song EP titled "Up-Lifted EP" and just released their full-length album, "IRIE STATE OF MIND" on July 1, 2011. Fortunate Youth will also be touring very heavily through 2011 including a Naitonwide CD Release Summer Tour. Upon Releasing their full-length album they quickly rose to #2 on the iTunes Reggae Charts and also locked in a #13 position on Billboard Top 100 Reggae Albums. Receiving great praise for early success Fortunate Youth strives to spread their interpretation of Reggae music to Music Lovers worldwide. They have had the honor to share the stage with bands such as Groundation, Toots & The Maytals, The Green, The Wailers, Katchafire, Tribal Seeds, The Expendables, Pepper, Dirty Heads, Natural Vibrations, Tomorrows Bad Seeds and Sashamon.

True Press: True Press is from Los Angeles, CA pushing to bring their progressive reggae sound to new audiences. The message is simple: bring people together, rise up, unite and enjoy life! Music has a tendency of bringing us together and taking us for a ride, and True Press is exactly that. The group met in Monrovia, CA and soon after began jamming in an abandoned house with no electricity except for the 100 foot extension chord running from the house next door to provide whatever power they could 'borrow'. Pedro, Johnny and KP began jammin around 2006 with Gyl Bonus earning his spot in 2010 shredding lead guitar. Not long after, True Press released their first EP "Sweet Reggae"and have been determined to bring their message wherever they go. With recent additions, Dan Kirihara, Pat Ruiz and Chris Parkhurst the group is ready with a new live energy and sound to rock any venue. Their first national tour "It's All A Jam" supporting Fortunate Youth kicks off early March 2014 along with their first full length album titled "Anything's Possible"... From daily struggles to world news, the message really is simple. It's more of a movement..... a TRUE PRESS !!!

Reeform : Since their humble beginnings in July of 2011 Reeform has quickly made a name for themselves in the Southern California music scene. In a matter of months they have managed to play in some of the regions most prestigious venues and shared the stage with many of their influences. With an ever-growing work ethic, and extreme passion to their craft, there are no signs of slowing down for this 6 piece from San Marcos, CA. Reeform is a band that can get you in the mood for sunshine. Their sweet sound will wrap around you and provide you with warmth regardless of the season. Mixing elements of many genres with a reggae one-drop core, look for this band as they quickly make their way into your playlists.

Roots of Mine: Hailing from downtown Los Angeles, Roots of Mine quickly became a popular band in the SoCal circuit. With a keen knack for fusing musical styles, the group excelled at blending the best of each genre they explored. Rock, reggae, and hip hop are among a few of their many styles which can be heard in their debut EP.
